About This Game DescriptionGod's Basement is a first-person, narrative-driven, single player horror game. The deeper you explore, the more you remember about your past life, along with the horrors associated with it. Discover the secret to God's Basement and what kind of individuals are sentenced here. Fight the fear seeping into your mind as the horrors of the past come alive through the world around you.StoryYou wake up in a normal, almost monotonous office room, hearing the faint sound of a phone ringing in the next room. The caller is an entity that introduces himself as The Operator, and gives you a set of instructions to follow. The documents around the room imply that you are in the afterlife, a specific version of the afterlife called God's Basement. The Operator keeps instructing you to go deeper and explore the depths of God's Basement, while simultaneously revealing the details of your past life, along with the horrors associated with it. Features - A strong focus on atmospheric tension- Two main environments, a modern office area and a house- Includes puzzles and riddles with varying difficulty- Primarily a "Walking-Simulator"- Emphasizes the unfolding of a story rather than fast paced action-oriented gameplay- Provides an intense psychological horror experienceGameplayGod's Basement doesn't have any complicated mechanics. The game doesn't involve any survival, retaliation or "hide and seek" style gameplay. Atmospheric horror elements are emphasized, along with creepy and borderline disturbing imagery. Most of the events in the game are scripted and straightforward although there are puzzles and riddles to be found. This game follows more of a "Walking-Simulator" style of gameplay than an action oriented one. If you're looking for a fast-paced, action-packed survival horror experience, this game probably won't satisfy that need. If you're looking for a slower-paced, narrative-driven experience that puts a strong emphasis on fear, give this game a try. 7aa9394dea Title: God's BasementGenre: Adventure, IndieDeveloper:ErebusPublisher:ErebusRelease Date: 16 Oct, 2018 God's Basement Cheat Code For Money god's basement ending. god's basement free download. god's basement philly. god's basement reddit. god of the basement. god of war witches basement. witches basement god of war. god's basement spoilers. god's basement wiki. god's basement gameplay. god's basement ending explained. god's basement monster. god's basement gra. god's basement game wiki. god's basement walkthrough. god's basement engine. god's basement *2018*. god's basement download. god's basement trailer. god's basement. god's basement release date. god's basement tv tropes. god's basement descargar. god's basement synopsis. god's basement meaning. god's basement game. god's basement story. god's basement pc. god's basement vr. god's basement review. god's basement update. god's basement plot. youtube god's basement. god's basement wikipedia. god's basement summary. god's basement code. god's basement red lights. god's basement parker house. god's basement demo. god's basement game review. god's basement music. god of basement. god's basement steam. god's basement test. erebus god's basement. oh my god basement jaxx. god's basement explained. god's basement guide. god's basement skidrow. god's basement jeu. god's basement game story. god's basement wikia. god's basement game plot. god's basement ps4. god's basement nj. god's basement light puzzle. god's basement jumpscares. god's basement igg Finished the game. The creator, Erebus, mentions at the end that this is their first game creation. It shows. Repetitive narrative choices were unessecary and hindered the narrative effect of telling the story through atmosphere and scraps of information scattered throughout the game. The ending was also a little ham-fisted to some, though it didn't bother me all that much. The activation/interact gameplay was also frustrating. As others have stated, things need to be either always or interactable or never interactable. They should never be mostly not interactive except when they need to be interactive, and then all of sudden they give you the piece of the puzzle by being interactive. Whey would I check that drawer for the fifteenth time when I couldn't interact with it the first fourteen times? One of the strenghts of the game was the "operator," though more could have been done with him. There was dialouge midway that chilled me to the bone when the "operator" revelaed somtihng to me, but that was few and far between. Overall the "operator" was a cross between an internet troll and a capricous god, which isn't a bad thing necessarily.I have read other reviews mentioning "P.T.," the now mythic demo that was supposed to reinvigorate Silent Hill before Konami ♥♥♥♥ed us. This is true. Erebus did a superb job of buliding intense psychological tension with the need to examine the minutia of the world. Erebus is inventive and certainly crafted a unique narrative. Though I did think that some of the things you needed to do were so obscure that I couldn't figure it out until the "operator" gave me a hint. So, should you play it? The answer is yes and no. Yes, because this is great psychological horror, though implemented imperfectly. No, because we all are looing for the next great Amnesia game, and this isn't it. Also, the game is only 4 hours long, and should be ten bucks instead of fifteen. I will say, howerver, that I want to see more of Erebus's games, and if this one ends up being relegated to the lower depths of steam because of lack of exposure, I 'll be dissapointed.. Jeez another PT ripoff. What is with these basically walking simulators. But with added frustration. Who thought it was great idea for a game mechanic where you are basically stuck until you find the next BS trigger to progress. This has no sense of achievement unless you are a masochist. Story wasn't engaging either.. I got past the loading screen from the main office and that's as far as I'll ever get. You get to move about a centimeter per second, if you're lucky. If they had an option to change that I'd give it a chance, but instead you're stuck walking the speed of a legless turtle. Don't even get me started on the "sprint" (1 legged turtle speed). Great horror game. The atmosphere is outstanding. Story is a bit predictable, but still holds up. Some of the puzzles were extremely frustrating to get through. Overall, an 8/10. Would definitely recommend playing this.. This game made me not read subs for about 2.5 hours, that's not bad but i've had better longer peroids of not reading the subs. Therefore, this game is somewhat mediocre but not completely♥♥♥♥♥ Graphics were fine, audio was fine, most of it was fine. It's rperty fine.Really wanted to see the horror i had caused at the end of the game, just so could gloat in the horrors i decided too to too to.Don't buy this game if you are triggered by triggers. This was a trigger simulator.. I really enjoyed this game, it's a little short like 2-4 hours max but keeps you intrigued the whole time. Some of the puzzles seem a little too obscure to solve at times BUT there's a hint system that helps right when you need it if stuck. Overall I would highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a unique mystery horror/thriller experience. I couldn't stop playing it, I just had to know what was going on, love that feeling.
